I spent 23 years working in the woods as a Logger. Rain, Snow, or Sunshine, it didn’t matter. I enjoyed my freedom and took pride in my work. The fresh air, the sunrises, the comradery. Teamwork made the dream work. I had the same dream as most my co-workers, as most people in general I believe. I wanted land and a house to raise my family. Homebuying was a bit overwhelming, but I found a wonderful young agent that was eager to help. She explained some of the process and had me started down the proper path. All was well until I found a “for sale by owner”. The owner didn’t want to compensate my agent and I had no way at the time to do so, but my family wanted to push forward. I had to try it on my own. What a trainwreck that became! No inspections, paying for services that I didn’t have to do, and a seller that didn’t want to move out after closing. There was no way I would want to do that again I thought. A few years later I decided it was time to sell. Upgrade the size of our home for my family. Knowing my last experience, I was surely going to hire a realtor this time! When this agent came out, they were bitter and grumpy. There had to be a better way! Life took a few turns, and I found the need to change careers. I then decided to become a realtor myself, but not any realtor. I don’t want to see anyone struggle like myself or many others have, just to fulfill a basic need/dream in life. I strive to be knowledgeable and valuable to my clients. I keep up with changes in the industry and endure continuous education to make sure of that. I also like to keep things fun and simple. With my growing network of resources, I make sure that I’m doing the heavy lifting for my clients. Homebuying should be fun! And as always, Teamwork makes the Dream work.
